The LI[F]E of Lukas Middleton: WEEK ONE IN ARIZONA

For the last year:
Well I finished another year of college. I also passed my classes so that is always good. It has been a crazy year for me. It has been way different than my last two years of college. I have done a lot this year and hope to do the same next year. It's crazy how much I have changed in the last year. But it has made me a great person. SO TA-TA!!!!!!

First Week in Arizona:

So it has been a week so far in Arizona. I am trying to get use to the big city living. On Monday and Tuesday I had MSHA training. The trainer was done by company out of Globe. The guy was whacked out of head gourd. We came to a conclusion that he had mercury poisoning when he was young haha. It's done so that's good. Then on Wednesday we had on site training at the mine. The training there was better since my boss trained us. He also went over some geology of the mine. A Bunch of schist, granite, One weird thing they do at open pit mines is you have to drive on the left side of the road. Then on Thursday we were lucky enough to go with the head blasting tech to go through the process of blasting. Then we stood on top op the pit and watched them set off the blast. It was sweet. Then we had to sit through a snake class and the guy brought in snakes. I do not like snakes at all. As the guy was giving his presentation i kept dozing off and ever time I woke up I saw the albino ratter staring at me (and he we 3 feet from mr in a cage)Later that day the head geologist took us in the pit and explained to us the geology. As we were driving we saw wood in the pit, which was timbers from the old underground mine. And that was my work week. I work 4- 10 hour days which is nice but long. Then this weekend I played a round of golf and got my FIRST BIRDIE!!!!!!!! I also visited the Four Peaks Brewing Company. They have really good food and brews. Well One week down many more to go. Yes I wrote a lot but I have a lot of time on my hands.
