My name is Lucas Middleton and I am 22 years old.I am a college student New Mexico State University This is just a blog about what I do in my Li[F]e. I am doing it mostly so I will be able to look back on my Li[F]e, but also for others to enjoy. My life consists of my best friends and family. So if you make it in my blog then you must mean something to me. I don't know if it is interesting but you can find out on your own.

Carlota Copper Company(KGHM)
Carlota Copper Company Internship
I forgot to post this and I just found it. It has been a awesome busy semester. My summer started out fast since I had a final on Thursday and then had to be in Phoenix the next day. Well last summer I moved to Phoenix, Arizona to work in Globe at Carlota. I was hired to be a geology intern to do two different projects. One being exploration rock sampling and the second one being ore control. I love doing both of the jobs. They both had pros and cons. The Awesome part of the exploration was I got to hike around in the mountains taking samples. But the rock sampling was repetitive. But it was a good experience. Now for ore control, I loved it! I was in charge of a big part in the mine. I had to go out take rock samples in the pit, describe the rock look for mineralization and then update 3D geologic maps. Then I would get data back from the lab and figure which areas to mine for ore and waste. The I would send information to the surveys to stake the area I pick to mine. It was an awesome job I got to tell the miner where to mine and that was cool since I am still a college student! Also I got to go to Tuscon and take a 3D software program class. I learned a lot and I was cool how computers are so advanced. This opportunity working for a copper mine was very beneficial to me. I learned skills that I will uses in the future.
